Hope, Healing, and the Promise of Eternal Life.

📖 First Reading: Acts 8:1b-8
Despite the persecution that began after Stephen’s martyrdom, the Church continued to grow. Philip traveled to Samaria, preached the Gospel, and performed many miracles. His message brought healing and great joy to the people. This passage reminds us that God’s Word cannot be stopped, even in times of hardship.
🎵 Responsorial Psalm: Psalm 66:1-3a, 4-5, 6-7a
“Let all the earth cry out to God with joy.”
This joyful psalm celebrates the power and glory of God. It invites all creation to praise Him for His mighty works, especially His acts of deliverance. It’s a reminder to be thankful for God’s presence in both personal and global victories.
✝️ Gospel Reading: John 6:35-40
“I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me will never hunger, and whoever believes in me will never thirst.”
In today’s Gospel, Jesus speaks of His divine mission. He offers Himself as the true bread from heaven, promising eternal life to all who believe in Him. His message is one of comfort and assurance—our souls will be nourished forever when we trust in Him.
💬 Reflection for May 7, 2025
Today’s readings call us to stand firm in faith, even when facing challenges. From Philip’s courage in Samaria to Jesus’ promise of eternal life, the message is clear: God is our strength, our joy, and our hope. Trust in His Word, and you will never walk alone.
